Inner Wilderness Series

The Restorative Path – Restorative Practices for Stress Relief and Balance

This offering is a curated set of practices designed to gently retrain the nervous system back into its natural state of balance — where rest, digestion, clarity, and emotional steadiness can once again become the default.

Many of us live in a body shaped by chronic stress, high alert, and ongoing adaptation. Even when life slows down, the nervous system may not. This collection works with the body rather than against it, using evidence-informed practices that support regulation, safety, and deep restoration.

Drawing on neuroscience, somatic awareness, and ritual-based care, this toolbox offers simple, repeatable ways to downshift from survival mode and reconnect with a felt sense of ease.

Paired with scent, sound, and guided inner journeys from The Inner Wilderness Series, these practices are not about fixing what is broken — but about reminding the body how to rest.

NSDR — Non-Sleep Deep Rest

NSDR is a guided practice that brings the nervous system into a deeply restorative state without falling asleep. Often compared to Yoga Nidra, it has been reframed in neuroscience as a powerful way to reduce stress, restore mental energy, and support emotional regulation.

During NSDR, the body shifts out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-digest, allowing the brain and nervous system to recover from ongoing demand. Research shows that even short sessions can improve focus, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

This practice is especially supportive for those experiencing fatigue, overwhelm, anxiety, disrupted sleep, or a sense of being “always on.”

Within The Inner Wilderness, NSDR is offered as a gentle return — a place where the body can soften, awareness can widen, and safety can be felt rather than forced. You can do this practice anytime you have a few minutes to spare and somewhere quiet, sitting or lying down just relax and follow my voice. It is my hope that with practice you will be able to do this anytime, anywhere you need to a quick reset.
